Training at Woodcock & Wilson


Contract Engineers at Woodcock & Wilson Ltd have recently completed their latest refresher course in the “Design of  fans working in Potentially explosive atmospheres.
The course was given by Howard Brooke who is the Chief Engineer at Woodcock & Wilson Ltd and sits on  CEN/TC 305/WG2 which is the committee overseeing the update of BS EN 14986:2007.
The course follows the general requirements of BS EN 14986 “Design of fans working in potentially explosive atmospheres” & BS EN 13463-1-5 “Non-electrical equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres”.
The course included the following subjects :-
Basic Design Considerations.
QA & Inspection requirements.
Documentation requirements.

In testament to our company ethos of the continued development and training of our staff; this week our Contract Engineers took part in our "Lunch & Learn" session. Lead by Chief Engineer Howard Brooke who sits on CEN/TC 305/WG2, the course covered the benefits and effects of fan diffusers.
